The annual celebration of London’s volunteers is back again and organisers are calling for nominations.
The Pillar Community Innovation Awards celebrate the ways in which innovation, leadership and collaboration in the non-profit sector have made our community better. Last November, 260 people attended the annual Awards gala to honour the people and organizations that make a difference in London.
Nominations are now open for this year’s Pillar Community Innovation Awards. The four award categories are: Community Innovation, Community Leadership, Community Impact, and Community Collaboration.
“It is truly an honour to be recognized amongst local nonprofits - those who are working the hardest to make our London community better, safer, more innovative, brighter. For Emerging Leaders, being nominated last year for the Community Innovation Award was a positive indication that we’re headed in the right direction,” said Lindsay Sage, Emerging Leaders Co-Chair and winner of the 2008 Community Innovation Award.
“This is your chance to recognize the volunteer whose enthusiasm, commitment and leadership is an inspiration to us all, your favourite non-profit organization that has applied creativity and passion in order to make a profound impact on our community, or the valuable contribution made by business in partnerships and collaborations with nonprofits and charities,” read a statement from the organizers.
The Nomination Package is now available on the Pillar Nonprofit Network website at www.pillarnonprofit.ca. The deadline for nominations is June 30.
Finalists and award recipients will be announced at the awards ceremony in November. Both finalists and award recipients will be invited to attend the awards ceremony as guests of honour. Award recipients will also receive $2500 to be directed to their registered charity of choice.
Libro Financial Group is the Platinum sponsor and Rogers TV is the Gold sponsor for the event.
